Hi! Sam Saw here! So this is my thoughts on Ghost.

It seems like some metal people dont listen to Ghost as some kind of statement. As if its too commercialized. But isn´t that what you want in a band? Not that they´ve got to sell out or anything but at least get the recognition they deserve.

Do you really want the band you like to roam the empty halls of the underground?

Of course you have those bands as well. I am also very much in to obscure heavy/death/black metal. But it seems like a band like Ghost belongs on the big stages and not in the underground.

I mean the masks, the makeup, the big stage shows and the strange lyrics! Wasn´t that what we all loved with the bands back in the 80´s? Bands like Mercyful Fate, Kiss, Twisted Sister, Alice Cooper and so on. They wouldn´t be as successful as they were if they´ve just performed in jeans and t shirt! I personally think that we need some new bands that can carry the torch of those old but still great 80´s bands.

I really dont think that metalpeople should talk down Ghost who at least try to do some great "satanic" metal when we got so many shit hardcore, metalcore, emocore and what the fuck all the genres are running around and are allowed to make "music" without anyone stopping them!

The thing with the popes, that they "change" them once in a while is just great i think. I mean, the singers identity is problaby the worst kept secret in the metalscene but no one seems to talk that much about it and that is just another good thing.

Some people over here are just saying that they´ve stolen everything from Mercyful Fate. Like the makeup and satainc aura and many riffs. But wasn´t King also sued by Gene Simmons for having a similar makeup like Gene? Manly stuff to sue each other over makeup :-)

But that is just ridiculous! Maybe Arthur Brown should sue Gene then :-)

King was even asked if he thought that Ghost has stolen anything from his legacy and he didn´t. So if the King doesn´t think so who are we to think otherwise!

And hey, you´ve gotta like a band that design and release their own dildo and buttplug!

Just some thoughts. Please don´t hate me!
